For children and families
Meeting your child where they are.
Occupational therapy for children aged 3 to 16, delivered mostly in-person across the Illawarra. We work with autistic children, children with developmental delay, and children navigating co-occurring presentations. Our practice is family-centred, developmentally attuned, and grounded in the nervous system.

Parents and carers are part of the team.
A simple answer
What is occupational therapy?
Occupational therapy helps people do the things that matter to them. For children, those things are play, learning, friendships, getting dressed, eating a meal, sleeping, moving through a busy day. When something makes those everyday things hard, OT looks at why, and finds gentle ways to help. It is therapy for the doing of life, not just for the diagnosis.
What this work looks like
We meet children where they are, not where a chart says they should be. The work is playful, developmentally appropriate, and always in service of the child's actual life, at home, at school, with family, and in the world. Parents and carers are held as part of the team, not observers of it. Where school-based work is helpful, we liaise directly with teachers and support staff.

How sessions work
Sessions are 45 minutes, held in your home or at the child's school, wherever the work will land best. We work across Wollongong, Shellharbour, Albion Park, and the surrounding Illawarra suburbs, with different days allocated to different areas to reduce travel for families.
The rhythm of sessions is typically weekly or fortnightly.
We see NDIS plan-managed and self-managed participants, and privately-funded families.
If you would like to talk about whether Attuned OT might be right for your child, please get in touch. We are happy to have a phone call before any commitment, so you can get a sense of us and we can get a sense of your family.
